Preparing for a Hen Do with Fibromyalgia

I'm not going to lie, I've got an insanely busy few months coming up. As someone who is used to spending a lot of time alone, this is genuinely so different to my normal life, but I'm so happy about it! I did a quick post earlier this year going over some of the things I've got going on this year, so I thought I'd share some posts about how I'm preparing for these with regards to my fibro.
First up I've got two hen do weekends for two amazing bride to be's this year. I am so excited and crazily happy that I've been asked to attend. I've got one in Benidorm and one in Leeds, and they're both going to be jam packed with activities to make it an unreal time. But with this comes a lot of preparation on my end, to make sure I know I can have a fantastic weekend without a dreaded fibro flare. Whilst I'm fully expecting to need a bit of recovery after, I'd like to try and make it through both weekends without a flare up.

My New Job Stationery Haul

Who else can remember the pure excitement of going shopping before the start of a new school year for their new stationery? It's something I've loved for years, so any excuse to buy new stationery always has me super excited. Earlier this year I started a new job, so of course I jumped at the chance to buy some new stationery. It's had me so excited getting all the stuff together that I needed for my job, so I thought I'd share some of my faves. I'm sharing links to the items I've bought (where possible as I did buy some of these back in Jan) in case any take your fancy, but this post is definitely not a sponsored post - I just really love stationery 💙

First up, my bits and bobs from Paperchase. I bought the diary first, and it's my favourite diary ever. I'd spent ages looking for a diary with no luck, until this one literally hit me over the head! I was bent down looking at some of the other diaries when this one fell off the shelf and on to my head (now I think about it, not the greatest on a health and safety point of view). It was on sale and as soon as I opened it I knew I had to have it! I also bought a new pen, I originally thought I was buying four of these pens but in different colours, but it ended up being one of those lucky dip things. At first I was disappointed but actually the copper colour is really nice and I'm pleased it was just the plain black. It writes really nicely too, which is always a plus. I then bought this ruler as I now often have to strike out empty boxes on paperwork, and the idea of doing that free hand makes me way too nervous. Despite my favourite colour being blue, my desk definitely has a pink theme so I wanted to get a ruler that matched, and I just loved the 'Love Rules' on it as well.

One of the main reasons I went for this diary was because of these fun little days they've added in! I love checking the upcoming week to see what's coming up - this one is from July, so basically the 21st July 2019 is the day for pigging out with junk food and ice cream, that's my kind of Sunday!

It's rare for me to buy a plain notebook but I actually liked the minimalistic feel of this plain black notebook - it served me well during my induction at work. I learn best when I make notes so it was so important for me to get a decent notebook. I also got this lush pink marble pencil case. It was nice and slim so it fit in my bag for my first two weeks, and I also got the matching To Do List for when I was up and running at my desk. These were all from Morrisons, they have plenty more in this pink marble range (although for some reason none of these items are online).

And finally, more pens. This is where I'm going to sound a bit nerdy with my love of pens 🙈 a while back I bought a pack of 5 Linc 0.7mm tip Ball Point pens in black. They were literally the nicest pens ever, and ever since they ran out of ink I haven't been able to find any! Not enough places stock 0.7mm ball point pens and honeslty its a travesty. Thank goodness for Amazon though, as I was able to find these beauties. Nice and colourful so I'll know when people try and steal my pens, plus they're blue ink which is what I need now for work. It's actually a little sad how excited I am to go into work on Monday and use these pens!

And that's it! It wasn't really a big haul because I buy that much stationery throughout my life, I've got enough to keep me going for ages. Although that didn't stop me buying all this anyway!

I'd love to hear some recommendations on where I can buy some lush stationery! You can leave a comment below ⬇ or you can tweet me here. There's still a few bits I'd like to get so I'm prepared for anything at my new job!

Abbey xx
